ISO9001 Committee Draft

Posted by: Steven Annison

The committee draft is out and the future looks interesting. Whilst the aim of ISO9001 continues to be improved operational performance and continual improvement the proposed changes continue the development of a business management standard for the next decade. The use of the high level structure Annex SL brings full integration ever closer.

New requirements planned include:-

  • Contingency planning
  • Knowledge management
  • Performance indicators
  • Risks & opportunities

These will all link easily with ISO14001 and OHAS 18001 (To become ISO45001 in 2016).

The draft for public comment will released shortly with the final version planned for the end of 2015.
